How to replace the crushing wall and mortar wall?
When replacing the crushing wall and mortar wall of a cone crusher, inspect the fixed cone, adjusting ring, locking threads, counterweight, and counterweight guard for wear. If wear is severe, replace the fixed cone immediately with a new one before installing the liner. This reduces secondary replacement and disassembly, saving both time and effort. After installing the liner, check that the liner is aligned. Otherwise, the liner may collide during operation, causing severe wear.
Replacing the Mortar Wall
The mortar wall can be replaced on-site. Unscrew the adjusting screw on the upper frame (turn counterclockwise), remove the upper chamber hopper assembly, and use a hoist to lift the adjusting screw. After removing the adjusting screw support bolts, remove the mortar wall for replacement. During assembly, clean the outer surface, apply grease to the adjusting screw threads, and install and secure in reverse order.
Note:
The crushing wall is secured to the adjusting ring with a U-shaped screw. Zinc alloy is injected between the two for a tight fit. When installing or replacing a new crushing wall, check its tightness and re-tighten the U-shaped screw after 6-8 hours of operation.
Replacing the Crushing Wall
The crushing wall can be replaced on-site. Lift out the spindle assembly and place it on a sturdy support platform. Be careful not to damage the moving cone and spherical surface. Seal all oil holes with cloth to prevent dust and impurities from entering. Remove the distribution plate, locking nut, locking washer, and fusible spacer in sequence. Weld two lifting lugs 180° apart on the old plate. Then, lift out the crushing wall. To install a new wall, similarly weld two lifting lugs 180° apart. Install the new wall in the reverse order of removal. Cut off the two lifting lugs when complete.
Note:
The cone crushing wall is fixed to the cone body with a cone head, with zinc alloy cast between the two. After 6-8 hours of operation, check the tightness of a newly installed or replaced cone crushing wall. Any looseness should be tightened immediately.
The crushing wall and mortar wall are critical components of the cone crusher. During operation, ensure that the material fed into the equipment meets the crushing requirements. Materials with excessive hardness, high moisture content, or other non-crushable materials are strictly prohibited from entering the crushing chamber. Failure to do so will cause the crushing wall and mortar wall to fall off, leading to equipment downtime and other problems. Furthermore, the cone crusher must be fed evenly. The ore must be fed into the center of the distribution plate, and the material should not directly contact the crushing wall and mortar wall to prevent uneven wear.
